Taking full advantage of the gorgeous sunshine this week we did a photo shoot today with one of our new furniture shapes The Newton Chair. We were delighted to head to the gorgeous Upcott Farm in Devon. Our furniture will soon be available to order online. In the meantime email email@example.com for all enquiries...
It's been an amazing year of creativity, challenges, inspiration and determination. Life has definitely been full. I am delighted to be launching Zoe Glencross Fabric & Home. Whilst it has been a sole venture I could never have done it alone and have been incredibly lucky to have had a wealth of supportive people around me. I'd like to thank all those who helped me along the way with their endless talents and enthusiasm...
The Plush upholstery team headed up by Andrea for her energy, drive andsound advice. The great skills of Alice and Charlie must be noted- no sewing task is too small, large or complex! Thank you to Jan Gamble with her brilliant photographic and styling skills and to Sally W for her sound business advice and positivity. Thank you to Mum for sewing and Dad for helping out on that very hot photo-shoot day. Also thanks to the lovely focus groups who helped evaluate my designs.
We are busy preparing for the forthcoming Country Homes & Interiors Summer Show in London which takes place in a couple of weeks from 1st-3rd June at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.
We'll be exhibiting our range of fabrics, woven throws and accessories. Do come along and see us on stand C22.
You might like to follow us on Instagram for show updates!
It may have felt like the end of the world was upon us yesterday with storm Doris sweeping across the national, however, true to the unpredictabiility of British weather, today we have a glimpse of spring sunshine. The birds are out and we spotted a few bunnies this morning (if a bit wind swept).
So if you're feeling spring-like and inspired to revive your home interior take a look at our Bollin Bird in Dew on natural linen for a subtle print in neutral tones.
To combat the dull days of January we are looking to our bespoke lampshades to lighten the mood. Available in our linen fabrics you may order your lampshade here online and it will be handmade to order.
Roll on Spring but in the meantime...
Is it too late to say Happy New Year? Today we've had snow, furious wind and glorious sunshine!! Whatever the season decides to be it's certainly time to de-clutter and get organised.
Are you looking to re-design your interior for spring? You might like our Teals & Camomiles or perhaps a pretty cowparsley in Inky Sky? All swatches are available to order here on our 'SHOP FABRIC' pages. Enjoy!
A BIG thank you to all our customers! Have a fantastic Christmas break and wishing you all the best for 2017!!!!!
If you're still in the midst of home furnishings and fabric we will be taking orders over the festive(exlcuding the bank holidays) period but please bear in mind that postage and delivery may be a little slow. Thank you.
It's been a while since my last blog since Autumn has been busy busy. Between photoshoots, tradeshows, launching new colours and London expeditions, Autumn has flown by and now the count down to Christmas has begun! We'll be running our own one day only 'Black Friday' promotion online only for mailing list subsribers - so if you haven't already signed up do!
The fabric design highlight this season for me was as always Decorex in September - we'll be exhibiting next year (!!) I also attended the Homes & Gardens Magazine fabric awards at the gorgeous Ham Yard Hotel. We made our TV debut when our fabric then appeared on Channel 4's Grand Designs with Kevin McCloud - thanks to Carol Rimmer, one of our customers.
The Dormy House have featured a great selection of our fabrics in their Autumn/Winter 16 catelogue and we are delighted to be working with such a lovely interiors business (bedstead picture, Armchair in Inky Sky Slade Stripe and bedroom chair in Putsborough Cowparsley Petal courtesy of The Dormy House - bottom row in pictures below).
With new markets on the horizon and our lastest fabric books due to arrive at any moment it's an exciting time. Some of our lovely stockists have been busy making stunning curtains and blinds in our Meadowlands prints and have kindly sent us some great pictures (see below - the kitchen Dew blue/grey blinds and curtains in Slade Stripe and Mottram Meadow - courtesey of Victoria Clark).
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to hear about all our latest news. Here's to the Christmas Count down!!
The transition from Summer to Autumn at home can mean losing a lot of bright light streaming through your windows. Using our lovely new Camomile Mottram Meadow for upholstery and soft furnishings, combined with a dark wall tone can add a fresh, year-round sunny vibe to your interior balancing light and dark in your scheme...
Well we have finally recovered from both the 5 day heatwave and phenoemal public response last week to our fabrics! It has been pretty overwhelming!
Thank you to Emma, Leyla and my mum Val for helping on the stand and for your positivity and enthusiasm - much appreciated. We had a great time and very much got into the spirit of the show.
If you visited us on the stand - thank you! We are working hard to get your swatches posted out to you this week. We were delighted at the popularity of the fabrics but also the response to of our new woven throws (100% re-cycled cotton) - great to be doing our bit for the environment. Customers sending us their photos will enjoy 10% off their next online order!
A big thank you
WE ARE ONE!
It is a year today since we launched zoeglencross.com!! What a year it's been! We've been so fortunate to have received industry recognition and support from the interiors press, winning some awards and accolades as well as receiving some great editorial coverage.
Our online customer base continues to grow. It's been really rewarding to work with customers as they put a room scheme together from our range that also suits their own style. We love talking fabric and paint colours so do email/call us for advice (firstname.lastname@example.org). Some of the lovely comments from customers have been overwhelming at times. Thank you!
We have grown the Meadowlands Collection through the seasons with some new heavier weight upholstery fabrics introduced in a gorgeous linen blend with new colours as well as adding ready made cushions and lampshades. There will be new fabric colours coming for Autumn 2016 so watch this space. We have also opened several accounts with some lovely stores and interior designers across the UK and we are moving into overseas markets.
Recently we've worked with Country Homes & Interiors magazine on a photo shoot at my home and we'll be putting together a short film about the collection (coming soon).
This summer we'll be exhibiting at the lovely RHS show at Tatton Park. We'll be in the Country Living Magazine Tent so do come along and see us (20th-24th July 2016).
Looking forward to another year ahead...

Last year I was lucky enough to win the Country Homes Business Magazine award for interiors. It's been an amazing springboard for my fledgeling business. The search for this year's winner is now on. For any budding country business folk out there it's time to take that leap of faith..
Please do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you're considering applying and you want to chat about it.
It can be overwhelming finding the right room scheme. If you are working with a blank canvas it's hard to know whether to chose your paint or curtain fabric first - it's a bit chicken and egg. The key is to chose them together if you can. To make life easier we have best testing out Little Green Paint Company's lovely blue and grey paint colours which include some stunning new shades. Little Greene clearly love grey and blue as much as we do as they've given these colours their own little colour chart. These colour tones are ofcourse still incredibly popular and look smart and stunning when combined with the right fabric in the right room. We wanted to find out which of the Little green paint colours best compliment our fabric prints. We particularly loved the Little Green paint colour Hicks' Blue which seems to perfectly compliment our Inky Sky indigo print tones (pictured below left with Mottram Meadow Inky Sky). This makes a striking and inviting sitting room or dining room scheme. These indigo blues work just as well in a modern new build as they do in a period building. I live in a recently converted barn so we have to strike a balance between old and new which can be tricky.
For a true grey colour our favourite is Little Green Paint Company Urbane Grey - this mid grey tone would look just as good on kitchen units as on sitting room/dining room walls for a more masculine smart interior - we would recommend this in a sunny, south facing room. Urbane grey blends beautifully with our Rock Grey printed linens. Little Green Paint Company's Inox is a paler (pictured top left below), pretty grey tone which has a touch of blue to it. Again it blends well with our rock grey prints. Lovely for a sunny bedroom with our Putsborough Cowparsley linen print in Rock Grey.
We'll be experimenting with more Little Greene paint testers in the coming weeks and will keep you posted. Zoe x

We love using chalk paint and our linen fabric to revive and refresh old furniture, making into something beautiful. This old blanket box (bought on ebay), has had a whole new lease of life! We painted it with Annie Sloan French Linen chalk paint and upholstered it in our Slade Stripe & Windmill Wood linen blend grey linen fabric.
Upholstered by one of our recommended upholsters Louise Lloyd - Thank you Louise!!
Please do not hesitate to contact us for recommended local curtain makers and upholsteres (if you're based in Cheshire/Manchester) at email@example.com
Our Pebble Grey Slade Stripe fabric makes a lovely fresh cover for a bench/window seat pad (pictured here with Pavillion Grey painted bench - Farrow & Ball). This soft grey linen blend fabric is a pretty, soft tone which blends easily with many schemes. As a heavy weight linen blend it drapes beatifully as curtaining, makes smart roman blinds and is perfect for your everyday-use general domestic upholstery.
