Zoe Glencross Fabric & Home sells printed natural linen fabric for curtains, blinds, soft furnishings and upholstery.  Beginning life as a home grown 'kitchen-table' craft Zoe uses her hand-sketched, block and screen printed designs to create her collections.

The Meadowlands Collection features rural imagery with a contemporary abstract twist, using print to reflect the texture, movement and light of England's rural landscape.   Inspired by the meadows of Cheshire and rugged North Devon coast.

Blog Draft

It's been an amazing year of creativity, challenges, inspiration and determination.  Life has definitely been full.  I am delighted to be launching Zoe Glencross Fabric & Home.   Whilst it has been a sole venture I could never have done it alone and have been incredibly lucky to have had a wealth of supportive people around me.  I'd like to thank all those who helped me along the way with their endless talents and enthusiasm...

The Plush upholstery team headed up by Andrea for her energy, drive andsound advice.   The great skills of Alice and Charlie must be noted- no sewing task is too small, large or complex!  Thank you to Jan Gamble with her brilliant photographic and styling skills and to Sally W for her sound business advice and positivity.  Thank you to Mum for sewing and Dad for helping out on that very hot photo-shoot day.  Also thanks to the lovely focus groups who helped evaluate my designs.

Cosy up...

It’s time to accept the leaves falling and the cold front coming in. So lets embrace this season with the launch of our cosy NEW Paper Leaf woven throws.

Our lovely, reversible throws are a perfect interior accessory, snuggle-up blanket or large picnic rug.  Super-soft in a brushed cotton finish it’s a firm family favourite.  Looks great on the end of your bed or sofa.

Our NEW Paper Leaf design in our darkest Pacific Blue will add a punch of design interest to the simplest interior and co-ordinates beautifully with greys and blues.

Made from recycled cotton, saved from garmet manufacturing, sorted into colours, broken down into fibre and then spun again into yarn, woven (in England), brushed and sewn.

Autumn News & Review

September was an exciting month here at ZGHQ!!  After a slightly bumpy end to the summer hols with the sudden realisation that the show was looming and the boys were still off school, we eventually managed to get ourselves together in time for the London Interiors Show exhibition.

Held in Chelsea, next to the infamouse design centred harbour, the show was a step away from the traditional larger show format and involved 20 interiors brands showcasing together to trade over two days.    We met so many lovely trade partners and new customers.  This was our opportunity to show the Nordic Story Collection to trade.   We had such lovely feedback so thank you to those who came to see us. It was a busy few days!

In the same week we were lucky enough to be awarded Highly Commended at the prestigious Homes & Gardens Magazine Fabric Awards for our NEW Honeycomb print

It was a huge honour to receive such recognition at these awards in amongst the industry’s finest designers.

Our fabrics have also been featured this month in Country Homes & Interiors Magazine and Homes & Gardens. So great to be included in the interiors editorial - Thank you!

We are now looking forward to future design collaborations and interesting business opportunties! :-)

NEW for Spring....

EXCITING news!!!

We are delighted to announce the launch of the NEW Nordic Story Collection.

Taking inspiration from my travels to Sweden and Denmark, my new collection for 2018 is a bold, contemporary and graphic collection of prints.  An exhibition by Danish artist Bit Vejle in Malmo, of delicate and intricate paper cut designs, inspired me to go back to basics on the design process.  Using the simplest techniques to compose prints using paper-cut silhouettes I then translated them into hand block and screen prints.

The Nordic Trail design makes stunning roman blinds and curtaining but also striking statement pieces as upholstered furniture.  It sits perfectly alongside it’s partnering Paper Leaf print and balances with the delicate Honeycomb and North Star designs.

It's all available for PRE-ORDER for delivery April 18.

We hope you like it!

Zoe x Design Collaboration...

Hot off the press today is the launch of our design collaboration with the mighty  I was over the moon to have been included in their selection of 5 designers for this new season's design lab launch!!  Feeling very excited and privileged.

Chose from a selection of sofas, chairs and accessories in the lovely darkest blue Anchor colour or funky on-trend Pink Grapefruit.   Dare to be different with an accent sofa or chair in your interior with a punchy colour to shake up the grey!     You can also add a patterned rug into the mix in our Slade Stripe or Mottram Meadow prints.

...on September for a moment and I've realised how far we've come.

As always in interiors, September is a very busy month.  Combine that with the 'back to school' mahem and add on a few special occasions to celebrate, and it's easy to be left a bit burnt out by the end.  However I'm feeling totally enthused and inspired..

We made our debut at Decorex International, exhibiting to the UK and International trade.    Our fabrics were so well received and the comments and enthusiasm for the brand were at times overwhelming.  We've been inundated with enquiries and requests ever since so we are loving the momentum!  We felt privileged to be able to exhibit alongside top international brands.  It was also great to meet many of the other fabric designers and compare experiences, as well as watch some inspiring interviews in the seminar room with incredible interior designers such as Turner Pocock.

As a visitor to Decorex for the previous 3 years I hadn't quite imagined being able to be part of the show.  A few months ago I was lucky enough to find the super talented Caroline, who has a never ending supply of initiative and positivity!   Caroline joined me at the show and is now very much a fundamental part of the business for which I am thankful!   I was also joined on the stand by an ex-colleague, Lucy, from my old M&S Buying days.  Without such great help I would never have been able to exhibit so THANK YOU!!  P.S - No we didn't spend our entire time drinking champagne like the photos might suggest! :-)

Alongside this I'm working on an exciting new design collaboration for Spring 2018 with a great furniture company - look out for our blog posts when it launches!

With the help of the lovely Matt Preistley we launched our short film which gives you a flavour of how a design begins life - available to watch here at the bottom of the page.

I've also been busy designing a new collection for Spring 2018 which I'm really excited about.    In recent weeks I've been luck enough to explore some beautiful locations for my spring shoot which for me is the best bit of this job!  Once again however my family are in despair as every day they come home to a kitchen covered in bits of fabric, sketches and photographs as I busily plan colours and photography.    I tell them 'it's a creative process' :-))

How a design begins life

My Meadowlands Collection very much began as hand-sketched, block and screen printed designs, printed in my garage workshop at home.  My fabrics are now manufactured in the UK but this short film gives you some idea of how a design begins life.

Printing on Natural linen in the workshop...

A big thank you to Matt at

The Edit:

Filming in progress..

This summer, in between developing new designs, planning for the Decorex show and of course looking after customers we have been busy filming.

To give you an idea of how my designs begin life we're putting together a short film - coming soon to our website so watch this space.

June Review...

It has been a busy month beginning with the Country Homes & Interiors Show in Islington, London.     It was great to take our fabrics out to the public and receive some incredible feedback and lots of lovely comments.   We are still taking post show orders so do hurry if you would like to place your order using your £ off voucher.

Looking to spring 2018 I've been working on a new collection inspired by my travels.    I've started sampling this month and hosted a really worthwhile focus group this month here at the house.    Thank you to all of those lovely people who came along and gave their expert opinions.

I'm also excited to be working on a new design collaboration which is coming together, also for spring 2018 so watch this space.... I'll be heading to London for the launch.

Devon photo shoot...

Taking full advantage of the gorgeous sunshine this week we did a photo shoot today with one of our new furniture shapes The Newton Chair.  We were delighted to head to the gorgeous Upcott Farm in Devon.  Our furniture will soon be available to order online.  In the meantime email for all enquiries...

We are busy preparing for the forthcoming Country Homes & Interiors Summer Show in London which takes place in a couple of weeks from 1st-3rd June at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.

We'll be exhibiting our range of fabrics, woven throws and accessories.  Do come along and see us on stand C22.

Sprucing up your interior….?

Be inspired and follow us on instagram.  We are taking orders online for our linen fabric by the metre.  You might like our Bollin Bird as seen here in our mini instagram film...

A flutter of spring...

It may have felt like the end of the world was upon us yesterday with storm Doris sweeping across the national, however, true to the unpredictabiility of British weather, today we have a glimpse of spring sunshine.   The birds are out and we spotted a few bunnies this morning (if a bit wind swept).

So if you're feeling spring-like and inspired to revive your home interior take a look at our Bollin Bird in Dew on natural linen for a subtle print in neutral tones.

Light it up.....

To combat the dull days of January we are looking to our bespoke lampshades to lighten the mood.  Available in our linen fabrics you may order your lampshade here online and it will be handmade to order.

Roll on Spring but in the meantime...

New Year...Fresh Start....

Is it too late to say Happy New Year?  Today we've had snow, furious wind and glorious sunshine!! Whatever the season decides to be it's certainly time to de-clutter and get organised.

Are you looking to re-design your interior for spring?  You might like our Teals & Camomiles or perhaps a pretty cowparsley in Inky Sky?  All swatches are available to order here on our 'SHOP FABRIC' pages.   Enjoy!
