A move from Manchester to the meadows of Cheshire meant a real lifestyle change. Being surrounded by massive skys and wildlife inspired me to create. I have always loved interiors and following our move seized the opportunity to learn the craft of fabric printing, combining my love of colour, paint and fabric. I was hooked and began designing and hand-printing at the kitchen table, using both hand-carved block and screen printing techniques.
With chalky interior paint colours in mind I wanted to create colour collections that would work with my own schemes at home and lend themselves well to decorating largely with shades of white and grey. I chose a white linen and a grey tone of natural linen base for printing on. I love the grainy, imperfect effect of printing on linen bringing the texture of my designs to life.
