NEW THIS MONTH - Zoe & Bee Design Collaboration

We were delighted to launch our Zoe & Bee Collection this month for our design collaboration with Osborn Interiors. Well respected Interior designer Bee Osborn and I met a few years ago at an interiors show and had kept in touch ever since. Having always had an affinity with natural linen,  Bee had a dream of creating a collection of fabrics.  She loved the idea of creating a patterned fabric that had a connection with nature, which was very much akin with my own design handwriting.   It seemed like the perfect fit!  

Following an in depth discussing about design inspiration and how we envisaged our collaboration developing Bee gave me a clear design brief.

The brief:  To incorporate nature into the designs, taking shapes and textures from trees, specific forms and beloved items and transform them into amazing printed patterns.   Be sent me a number of inspiration images. Following Bee’s brief I set to work in my garden design studio, hand sketching  and hand printing some preliminary designs, using small flat bed silk screens to print with and chosing textural, pure linens on which to print.  Understanding Bee’s natural style was key.   Her emphasis on subtly layering up natural materials in her own schemes had to be reflected in the combination of prints I put together.  It had to balance and the fabrics had to feel like they all belonged in her home.

Together we wanted to create natural, elegant designs that would work anywhere,  in both urban and country homes. We hope you like our little Zoe & Bee capsule collection.
