NEW Peony Echo Design for Fabric and Wallpaper

We are thrilled to introduce our NEW Peony Echo print for Spring 26!

This new design is a nod to the beloved Peony - a favourite flower for many and it certainly is mine!  With its endless delicate, fluffy petals and striking leaves, I love how these flowers look so different every day - a true celebration of springtime!    This is our first true floral print so it’s been a little bit of a labour of love.  I’ve been wanting to create something a little unique which allowed the textured linen upon which it is printed to be part of the design.

Early original lino carved peony prints.

The design began life as two lino carved motifs as a flower head and a peony leaf which then combined to create a trailing, tumbling trellis pattern which looks wonderful as a print on linen and wallpaper.   Using the dotted element of the design allowed me to create a shadowy, subtle effect of the peony flower and leaf shape making the fabric more contemporary and versatile in its use for homes of all architectural periods.

The Light Terracotta colourway is the most muted of the four colourways we are launching, and very much works with the tones of the natural linen to give almost shadowed effect where the dotted pattern makes space for the shadowy shape of unprinted peony motifs.   This fabric combines so well with our Ziggy Molinos Toasted Almond fabric.

The Cabbage Green and Dark Teal colourway has a true spring feel with flower heads in an almost lime/apple green much like the new leaves on the tress in spring.  Combined with dots in dark teal it commands a striking colour combination and works so well as upholstery and curtains.   Combine with dark blue or Green toned painted walls.  This one also works well alongside the Peony Echo Stone wallpaper for a floral drench!

The Raspberry and Zest is a true show stopper with its bold raspberry peony flower heads and leaves alongside a zesty rich orange spotty pattern.   It makes wonderful roman or relaxed roman blinds and curtains, or a statement accent chair or footstool.   Scheme alongside Taupe, creams and beige paint colours or light blues for a contrast.

The Lakes Blue and Samphire colourway is a truly versatile fabric working easily alongside blue or green design schemes as well as teals and duck eggs.  It’s soft enough in colour to work well with oatmeal or very neutral paint tones.  We love it with Farrow & Ball Light Blue (no.22).

It was only once I began printing the design with a layout that I was happy with on paper that I realised it could work well as a wallpaper aswell.  We have chosen to print it in a single, subtle colours for wallpaper with the fabrics being two tone.

We hope you love our new design and look forward to seeing the fabric made up as curtains and blinds and the wallpaper in situ in people’s homes.
